We are a collective of professional dominatrix and submissives & fetish providers with a higher vision. Our work here is rebellious — revolutionary by every means to fight the oppression, the lack of protection, and the systematic injustice that ALL sex workers face.
Our mission is to harvest the power of our work to the fullest by taking initiative in organizing as a collective, gathering resources, conducting classes and training, and connecting you with top-notch, caring professional dommes and subs. We are Black-Queer-owned and founded, as well as majority BIPOCQ collective; we are completely non-capitalistically ran and anti-colonial. Decolonizing Kink and decriminalizing sex work, growing and supporting other sister collectives and businesses with similar missions in a way that builds a community, power of organized force, protecting our members (especially BIPOCQT) and those in our community, and influencing the culture/our society/our community network positively in a way that frees us from the oppressive & repressive chains that the society put onto us.
We selectively offer membership to those we believe qualify and align with our values and vision, and we also recently opened non-members listing options across the world & virtually. Our highly skilled dommes also offer classes, events, parties, demos, and mentorship. We encourage and assist with building portfolios, and providing experience as professional dommes and subs.
We offer ONLY legal BDSM services through our own system of screening clients and members, and have third-party assisted programs such as background checks in use for everyone’s safety. Please inquire any questions to info@purgatorynyc.org.
Colonialism is the control of the land, lives, labor, and resources of a nation by an external foreign nation. And Capitalism is one of its early offsprings.
European exploration, christianization or, best put, colonization, obstructed the natural progress of the peoples of Africa, America, Asia, and the Pacific Islands. European domination is continuing to violently suppress our peoples natural economic, political, and social development. The plundering of our resources, along with the inhumane exploitation of our labor is topped by the direct or indirect control of our political, cultural and social lives.
Colonialism has stolen our minerals, crops, animals, fields, forests, oils etc. Of course, not without meeting consistent resistance. All oppressed peoples have a variety of revolts, uprisings and popular struggles. Many were (and still are) globally led by Black, Trans, Queer sex-workers.
Our resistance to colonial subjugation is not sporadic nor surprising; our resistance to imperial violence and genocide is inevitable. We want joy and control over our own lives.
Our cultures, that is to say our art, dances, food, skills, beliefs, political systems and languages are the drive of our resistance. From our long history of struggle between man and nature, man and man, man and time, we forged lifestyles and traditions far beyond any bleached history book. This concept can be applied to BDSM & Kink as well. We believe that BDSM/Kink is also a practice/art of rebellion and healing, as well as alternative form of therapy or consultation.
Assimilation, through force or farce, is one method of suppression. The colonial/neo-colonial (such as USA) system forces us into accepting the patriarcal, capitalist, fatphobic, transphobic, oppressive/repressive, brain-washing standards of beauty, lifestyle, success, sex, identity, politics, etc…. Through miseducation and indoctrination we are fed lies about ourselves and our history, even White people of different origins included.
Colonialism must constantly reinforce within itself a feeling of superiority, whether it is conscious or subconscious. It is necessary to install these foundations of white power, western chauvinism, and american democracy to absolve themselves of their past and current crimes.
"We should go down to the grassroots of our culture, not to remain there, not to be isolated there, but to draw strength and substance there from, and with whatever additional sources of strength and material we acquire, proceed to set up a new form of society raised to the level of human progress."
-Ahmed Sekou Toure
“We believe that the conscious and organized undertaking by a colonized people to reestablish the sovereignty of that nation constitutes the most complete and obvious cultural manifestation that exists."
-Franz Fanon
"The United States works on what we call the 'three M’s': the Missionaries, the Money, and the Marines. That is precisely the way it has moved all over the world."
-Kwame Ture
Every colonized person is a potential revolutionary. The colonized person who sells out his people is an enemy of the people. How do we fight our enemy? What are the tasks ahead?
Our platform is the natural result of a worldwide phenomena as well as the severe levels of injustice that Mistress Kiki and Sato faced and witnessed in the NYC dungeon scene.
Our enemy is global, international. So our resistance must be global and international. Our community must be far reaching and wide spread. BIPOCQT Sex-worker led international organized resistance against colonialism is the ultimate purpose of Purgatory. Build a community of rebellion and resistance. Build creatively. Build each other. Our collective action towards destroying our mutual enemy is the inevitable result of our shared plight. Our discipline and unity combined with hope and creativity is what makes Purgatory professional, grass-root, as well as political; the destroyer, healer and the creator.
